What else might I need before starting the weight loss injection?
We may recommend blood tests before starting the injectable weight loss drug to rule out anything underlying, and in some cases we will recommend checking your insulin resistance.
The bloods we check cover all body systems, blood count, kidney, liver, bone function, thyroid, cholesterol panel, iron levels, uric acid, muscle enzymes.
The insulin resistance test can be added for an additional £150 this can show you that the excess weight is causing your body to become resistance to insulin and so you have to produce more of it, which in turn causes the body to store more fat.
We are seeing that even with the initial weight loss, the insulin level comes down with these weight loss injections which has wide-reaching health benefits.
The weight loss injection alone is not enough to reduce weight. We will send you advice on maintaining a healthy weight based on shorter windows of eating, eating more good fats and protein and how this reduces insulin levels further.
We combine motivation techniques, strengthening exercises, low carb diet with medication to give you the support and structure you need to help put you back in control of your body, your health and your life.
Weight loss is a journey and we’ll be by your side every step of the way.
