Whats the difference between vaccinations and immunisations?

Vaccination refers to the act of receiving a vaccine, which can be administered through an injection, taken orally or as a nasal spray.

Immunization encompasses both the act of receiving the vaccine and the subsequent development of immunity to the disease.

After vaccination, it takes time for vaccines to be effective as the immune system needs to generate a response to the vaccine.

While some vaccines are effective after a single dose, others require multiple doses to achieve full effectiveness. Additionally, certain vaccines may require a booster shot after a specific period to restore immunity, as the protection can diminish over time.
