Vitalis Health provides a comprehensive travel assessment and travel vaccines to keep you safe and healthy while abroad. We also provide all vaccines for work and your general health.

How do I get my travel vaccinations?

You must book a telephone appointment with our health clinician Tina Fegan (costing £25) to clarify exactly what you will need for your travels.

Then you can book a clinic appointment to have the vaccines administered and to receive a prescription for any antimalarials if needed.

What are the costs involved?

  • The initial telephone consultation costs £25.

  • There is a £35 appointment fee for the administration of the vaccines, in addition to the cost of each vaccine.

  • Each vaccine is individually priced. *Prices below.

Travelling with a family?

Additional family members who require advise on what vaccines to have are charged at £10 per person.

We still require a booking for each person and their vaccination history. See below or more information

We recommend contacting us 4 weeks before you travel in case you need a series of travel vaccines such as rabies.

Please note: unfortunately at this time, due to supply chain issues, we cannot offer the BCG vaccine or Yellow-fever vaccine.

Travel Clinic telephone Appointment

Before your telephone appointment you need to:

  1. Contact your GP to obtain an up to date vaccination record.

  2. Complete the health questionnaire here and email this to us at info@vitalishealth.co.uk

  3. Ensure your appointment is at least 4 weeks before you travel ( in case you need a series of travel vaccines such as rabies).

After the telephone travel appointment:

1.We will send you a list of vaccines required

2. You can then arrange a clinic appointment to have the vaccines administered and to receive a prescription for any antimalarials if needed.

  • Hepatitis B Adults

    £55 per dose ( 3 doses required)

    The vaccine gives protection against the hepatitis B virus, which is a major cause of serious liver disease, including scarring of the liver (cirrhosis).

    Vaccine Schedule: There are many different immunisation schedules for hepatitis B vaccine which depend on the vaccine product used and how quickly protection is needed for pre or post exposure. We will discuss the schedule best suited to your needs during the consultation.

  • Diptheria, Tetanus, Polio

    £40

    Vaccine Schedule: Most people in the UK will have had these vaccines as children. You will usually only need one additional booster before travelling to some countries, or if you have had a certain type of injury the tetanus is indicated if the the skin is broken.

    It is recommended that you have the vaccine at least 1 month before you travel.

  • Cholera

    £65 *Out of stock

    Cholera is an infection that can cause severe diarrhoea. It's not found in the UK, but there's a very small risk of getting it while travelling in some parts of the world. The vaccine is given as a drink. For adults, 2 doses (given 1 to 6 weeks apart) can provide protection for up to 2 years.  You need to have had both doses at least a week before travelling.

  • Hepatitis a

    £65

    Hepatitis A is an infection of the liver caused by hepatitis A virus. The virus is usually transmitted by the faecal–oral route through person-to- person spread or contaminated food or drink.

    Dosage and schedule : One dose of Hep A vaccine provides immunisation and protection for 12 months

    In order to provide protection for ten years, a second dose of the Hep A vaccine is required within 6 to 12 months after the first.

    It is recommended that you have the first dose of the vaccine at least 2 weeks before travelling.

  • JAPANESE ENCEPHALITIS

    Japanese encephalitis (JE) is an infection spread by an infected mosquito. JE is spread throughout Asia. The vaccine is recommended for travellers moving to JE infected area or for frequent travellers who will be staying 1 month or longer.

    Dosage and schedule

    Children aged two months to under 36 months: First dose of 0.25 ml at day 0

    Second dose of 0.25 ml 28 days after first dose

    Children aged 3 years and over and adults First dose of 0.5ml at day 0

    Second dose of 0.5ml 28 days after first dose

    A rapid schedule administered at days 0 and 7 is also licensed for adults aged 18-64 years of age.

  • MMR

    £55

    Mumps is a contagious viral infection that used to be common in children before the introduction of the MMR vaccine.

    Teenagers and adults who do not have presumptive evidence of immunity against measles should get two doses of MMR


  • Meningitis ACWY

    Meningitis ACWY vaccine protects against 4 strains of the meningococcal bacteria – A, C, W and Y – which cause meningitis and blood poisoning (septicaemia).


  • Rabies

    £85 per dose OUT OF STOCK

    Protection against rabies. The vaccine can used to prevent rabies before, and for a period of time after, exposure to the rabies virus, which is commonly caused by a dog bite or a bat bite. 

    Dosage and schedule It is recommended you have 3 doses of the vaccine over a period of 28 days and at least 1 month before travel.


  • Tick bornE Encephalitis

    TBE is an infection spread by tick bites. Ticks that spread it are found in parts of Europe and Asia, and some parts of the UK.

    Dosage and schedule: You need to have the first dose at least 1 month before travelling.

    First dose of 0.5ml (0.25ml Tico-Vac Junior for children aged one year and below 16 years of age) at day 0. 

    Second dose of 0.5ml (0.25ml of Tico-Vac Junior for children aged one year and below 16 years of age) one to three months after the first dose. 

    Third dose of 0.5ml (0.25ml Tico-Vac Junior for children aged one year and below 16 years of age) five to 12 months after the second dose.

    A booster dose is recommended every three years after an initial three-dose schedule, if the individual continues to be at risk.


  • Typhoid

    £35

    Typhoid vaccine prevents typhoid fever. Typhoid is found throughout the world, but it's more likely to occur in areas where there's poor sanitation and hygiene.

    Dosage and schedule: It is recommended that you have the vaccine at least 1 month before you travel.

    Typhoid vaccine protects you for three years .
