Strawberries: We love strawberries, they are so beautiful and happy looking, but what are they good for?

While there is ongoing research exploring the potential health benefits of strawberries, including their role in preventing various types of cancer, it's important to note that no single food can definitively prevent or cure cancer.

However, some studies have suggested that strawberries, along with other fruits and vegetables, may be beneficial in reducing the risk of certain cancers, including prostate cancer. Strawberries contain several bioactive compounds, such as flavonoids, which have shown antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. These properties may help protect against cellular damage and inflammation, which are factors associated with the development of cancer.

So while strawberries are abundant and in season, getting munching.

I like to put them in smoothies with natural yoghurt, banana, a little honey and some frozen mango and some milk.- the kids love it! And you can add some spinach and they will never know!
