This is a Home Blood Test.

The Vitamin B12 Blood Test is the most accurate way of measuring Vitamin B12 levels, as it measures the total amount of B12 ready for your body to use. Vitamin B12 is needed for the proper formation of our red blood cells and for nerve health. Red blood cells contain haemoglobin which transports oxygen around the body, and so if we have low Vitamin B12 levels we can often feel symptoms such as fatigue, or weakness as there are fewer red blood cells or a lower amount of haemoglobin.

Test results are typically ready within 2-5 working days of receipt at the laboratory, and will be shared with patients via email. If you do not receive your results within this timeframe please contact our clinic. All test results remain confidential and are shared only with the patient.

If your results are abnormal, we will be in contact with you to recommend treatment and the appropriate course of action required. The cost of the written prescription is included in the overall cost of the test.
